Sweep, vacuum and hose it down

WITHOUT DETERIORATING OVER TIME!

Yeah, even the tough and rugged need a little tenderness from time to time. This is your guide to extending the life and looks of the longest-lasting mats, well, even longer. Our WaterHog mats have been designed to be cleaned easily to keep them looking like new with minimal effort.

DUST, DIRT, LEAVES & SAND

Easy Daily Care

The tried and true method is to take your mat into the yard or similar and simply shake vigorously until the bulk of the debris is gone. You can also sweep or use your household vacuum as it will not hurt your WaterHog mat.

THE QUICK & EASY SPA DAY

Machine Washing

Your WaterHog is designed to be as robust as it is stylish.

Prep Like a Pro - Give your WaterHog a good shake outdoors to kick off any pesky dirt. Check out any trouble spots for a quick pre-treatment with a dab of mild, eco-friendly detergent.

Into the Drum It Goes - Toss your WaterHog into a washing machine with a roomy drum. This isn’t the time for a cramped cycle—let your mat have its space!

Drying Out - When the cycle’s done, rescue your WaterHog immediately to prevent any lingering damp drama. Lay it flat or hang it in a shady, breezy spot—You can leave it outside in the sub because these doormats don’t fade!

Quick Tip - If your machine is more “snug hug” than “spacious retreat,” opt for the hand wash route to keep your WaterHog looking fabulous. Don't use bleach or other harsh chemicals to clean.

THE GENTLE TOUCH

Hand Washing

If your washing machine isn’t quite up to the challenge of washing a WaterHog, don’t worry—a hands-on clean works just as well.

  • Hose it down - Grab your hose and give your WaterHog a good, thorough spray-down with a splash of mild detergent to get every fiber refreshed and ready to rock.
  • The Gentle Clean - Get your WaterHog and give it a gentle massage with a soft brush. Focus on any stubborn spots—let it soak for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse & Repeat (Without the Drama) - Rinse off all that soapy goodness with clean lukewarm water. Gently squeeze out the water—no aggressive wringing allowed. Lay it flat or hang it to air dry in a cool, shady area.

Drying out

When the cycle’s done, rescue your WaterHog immediately to prevent any lingering damp drama. Lay it flat or hang it in a shady, breezy spot - You can leave it outside in the sun because these doormats don’t fade!

Always ensure both the mat and your floor are dry before placing the mat. Remove moisture that may become trapped under your mat.
